Guido graduated from the Brescia Conservatoire in 2003

with full marks, under the tutelage of Maestro Alberti. Between 2005 and 2008
he was assistant teacher for the saxophone courses in the same
conservatoire, where he also obtained a specialist degree in instrumental teaching
with top marks in 2011.

He has been teaching saxophone at the music
high school Liceo Musicale Gambaraof Brescia since 2007 and obtained tenure
there in 2015.

 

Guido is regularly called to hold specialisation masterclasses

of high quality (Arezzo, Bergamo, Milan, Verona, Switzerland...).

He regularly collaborates with the publishing house
Carisch, with which he has released approximately 10 CDs and method books for
young players.

He honed his musical skills with Mario Marzi, Claude
Delangle, Jean Ives Formeau, Arno Bornkamp, Bruno Totaro and Daniele Berdini.

Since 2001, Guido has collaborated with the pianist
and composer Claudio Bonometti, with whom he won several competitions. In 2011 they
made the record A due voci (In two voices), which was released by
Fuorirotta. The record consists of compositions written especially for, and
dedicated to, Consoli and Bonometti.

Guido is cofounder of the Coritage Saxophone
Quartet,
a saxophone quartet that was invited to take part in important
international saxophone events. With this group he made two records, the last
work being the CD Confini (Boundaries), released under the label of Stradivarius.
The Coritage Saxophone Quartet performed at the European Saxophone Congress
2024 in Trento, playing as a soloist group accompanied by the BrixiaArmaniae
Orchestra.

Consoli was called by the orchestra of the Brescia
Conservatoire to perform as a soloist one of the most important musical pieces
in the saxophone repertoire, Glazuov’s Concerto.

He won the audition as first saxophone with the
Orchestra di Fiatidella Svizzera Italiana (Wind Orchestra of the Italian
Switzerland). He also received a mention after auditioning with the Orchestra
del Teatro Regio of Turin.

Guido played with the Haydn Symphony Orchestra of
Bolzano and Trento, with the Orchestra de I Virtuosi Italiani, with the Italian
Philharmonic Orchestra, with the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and with the Soncino
Wind Orchestra.

His passion for chamber music and didactics led
him to conduct numerous chamber ensembles. Since 2016 he is musical and
artistic director of the academy Don Sennhauser and of the musical body Corpo
Musicale di Grumello del Monte.
