PÚRPURA PANSA is, apart from the name of one of the most renowned see snails, the name of one of the most important groups of chamber music at that moment. After almost a decade together, the saxophone quartet is incredibly dynamic in their concerts, characterized for an amazing live capable of connecting with all kind of audience instantly. They work an attractive repertoire which with great quality they get surprise in all their shows.
In they career, the spotlights are the three published CD: UNUA (2012), SAXOFONIA (2014) and recently SAX & TANGO (2020), with the greatest tango masters Polly Ferman and Daniel Binelli.
They have make concerts around all Spanish and Europe tours in countries like France, Holland Lithuania or Malta, that made possible to give to know their work at an international level. In many instances, they share stage with famous saxophonists like David Pons, Antonio García, Simon Diricq or Johan van der Linden. Usually works with The World Orchestra under the baton of Josep Vicent, and in various seminar of Berklee College of Music together with the conductor Rafael Sanz-Espert. As a guest group they have participated in the V Ibero-American Congress.
In the development of their pedagogic work, annually organized SAXEM, one of the greatest saxophone festivals where they gathered some of the best teachers and saxophonists in the world, and more than sixty students who participate in workshops, conferences, classes and concerts.
